Unfortunately, Joe's cousin and his son were not able to make it to Colorado as orginally planned. So, our revised Thanksgiving plans consisted of spending the weekend relaxing, working around the house, and taking Isaac to the doctor.  Yes, we are two very loving parents who were told it was just a common cold, but with all off this whooping cough and other stuff going around, we wanted to be proactive with such a young one at home.  So, we stayed pretty low key letting Isaac sleep, eat, and play when he wanted too.  We were able to enjoy a nice Thanksgiving dinner at our neighbor's, and it was nice to have lots of food to eat that I didn't have to cook! ;-) Our Chistmas lights are hung outside on the house (Thanks, Joe!) and the inside of the house will get the festive look this week.  We are looking forward to the holidays! It's one of our favorite times of the year!

We are now moving up a size in the land of infant wear (3-6 months already!).  So, I had to take more pictures of Isaac in his new weekend attire.  He seems to be enjoying the pictures just as much as mommy enjoys taking them!

At 2 months, Isaac is 12 lbs 6 oz. and 22 inches long.  Cooing to talk to us makes our hearts melt.  He's such a wonderful gift.

At 7 weeks, Isaac has begun to enjoy laying in his swing.  He can now see further away and focuses on objects moving left, right, up and down.  He still sleeps 2-3 hours at a time and is up 3-5 times at night but has begun to sleep without being held all the time.  He will tell you how he wants to be held by squirming and fussing until he has landed in the position he wants.  He definitely knows what he wants and is vocal until he gets it. His most "happy place" is laying flat on his changing table in his bedroom.  It doesn't matter how fussy he is, the minute he enters his room and lays on that table he is the happiest, smiling baby.  I am so lucky to have the extra time to stay home with him.  I am loving watch how he is growing and learning. He is such a special addition to our family.

A few weeks ago, my student assistant, Abbey, from my high school come by to see Isaac and take some pictures.   She is now a senior at my school and loves photography.  I thought I would share a few shots that she took. She is such an amazing young woman.

I love my little pumpkin.

Next year he may even get to go trick-or-teatin'! :-) But first, let's just work on sleeping through the night.  One step at a time.
