Isaac is beginning to role play and its so fun to watch.  Now, he pretends he is a monkey climbing a tree and picks bananas for me to peel and eat.  Its fun to see the imagination begin.  He also picks up the phone and pretends to talk to both his "Ga Ga's."

Levi has figured out how to bounce rather than just stand and play in his jumpy thing.  He enjoys being upright and playing with his toys.

YUCK!  I have seen our backyard friend more times than I'd like.  I just tell myself..."but, they eat mice...but, they eat mice...but, they eat mice..."

Jumping, rolling, eating and sleeping...ah the life!  Levi is still a very good mannered, smiley baby!  So far he has tried rice cereal, sweet potatoes and carrots, and I'd say its going ok.  He doesn't seem to enjoy solids as much as I remember Isaac loving food.  But he is learning, and I'm giving him some time to get used to it before I conclude whether his a picky eater or not. He LOVES to watch and smile at Daddy and Isaac. Rolls in all directions and even scoots around a bit. Enjoys playing with toys and holding objects.  Think we are approaching teething in the next month or so as we are drooling, getting a little fussy and chewing a lot! He really wants to sit up and tries to whenever I lay him down.  I think sitting will be the next milestone to come.

Love, love, love this kid!  At this stage he is mimicking everything.  I have learned the things I say (without knowing it) as now Isaac is saying them all the time too.  For example, "Mmm, K?" as in "OK?" and "Yeah!"  I now catch myself saying these all the time and have no doubt where he is getting these responses from.  He has become so much better with Levi the past few weeks, beginning to share and soothe his baby brother.  I am beginning to have hope again that these two will be best friends one day.  Still counting 1to 3, identifying these three numbers in text and counting objects up to 3.  He's identifying more letters, the newest being A, B and I (previously O, M, S were favorites).  The other day we were having one of those days where he wanted to fight Momma on everything.  So, when it came time to pray before lunch, he refused to hold my hand.  So, I explained that he could eat once were prayed.  After numerous attempts and many refusals to hold my hand he finally cried, "Pray! Pray! Amen! Amen!" I love to hear him list the people he wants God to bless and who he is thankful for.  There are so many "little" moments that I want to remember forever!

Isaac: "More milk, please."

Momma: "Ok.  What color is milk?"

Isaac: "White."

Momma: "Good Job, where does milk come from?"

Isaac: "The fridge."

The park behind the house has finally been renovated.  Here's Isaac enjoying a nice day at the park!

We haven't attempted peas, but we have tried sweet potatoes.  Levi is more interested in grabbing the spoon than the taste of food so far.  But the beginning of solids and making homemade baby food has begun.

Levi - almost 5 months old

My plan is to start full-time potty training Isaac once we get back from vacation.  I have been researching the "no pants" method, but he seems to know exactly what to do.  I just need him to be able to go when he needs to.  So, to get ready, I have purchased a small potty chair that he can get on and off by himself and some big boy "Thomas the Train" underwear.  He loved the potty an will sit down and pee, get up, wash hands and then sit back down and pee some more.  I think he likes this new chair as he can see his pee "accumulate", where as the seat that goes on the toilet is nice for clean up purposes, but he really doesn't see what he's doing.  I hope that is will not be too much of a battle (or nasty cleanups)....

The boys are beginning to bond....beginning. Levi loves Isaac!  Isaac tolerates Levi!  But in the recent week, I have found Isaac giving Levi toys to stop him from crying, sharing toys, even letting Levi try to grab and touch him.  That doesn't mean we still aren't experiencing Isaac pushing Levi in a nonchalant way or getting upset when Daddy is holding Levi.  But we are progressing.

Since we will be staying in some campgrounds while on vacation, I wanted to give Isaac his birthday present before we left so he could bring it with him.  These balance bikes are supposed to help toddlers balance on 2 wheels without having to worry about pedaling.  Once he gets the hang of it, he can begin giving on it.  The transition to a pedal bike is supposed to be easy.  He's so short, the seat is a low as it can go.  Too funny!

Friends, Eli and Emma, came to swim in the "big pool." The kids had fun playing in the big pool, little pool, sand box, and having a picnic.  It was a great way to spend my birthday!

Ah...siblings that get along. Lol!

Levi is rolling around like crazy and had his first attempt at rice cereal.  He seems to be a very determined individual.  He rolls and rolls to get around the room. And he reaches and grabs to get what he wants.  I think he'll be moving around sooner that Isaac.

Rice was a success

Loves being on his belly now
