I love my little pumpkin.

Next year he may even get to go trick-or-teatin'! :-) But first, let's just work on sleeping through the night.  One step at a time.

Last weekend, we had a "guys version" of a baby shower.  Yep...a Diaper Derby.  The guys brought a package of diapers and enjoyed hanging out back with horseshoes, beer and burgers.  It was a great time with great fall weather.

The king of the party

At 5 weeks, Isaac is becoming much more alert, smiles at us (not because he's peeing, but because he thinks his parents make the most ridiculous faces), and his eyes focus in specific things (like his mobile).

I've been adding other pictures to a photo album online.  Check them out here.

Here are a few that I enjoy.

Our little man is on a schedule (Just like his mommy).  He is 2 weeks old today and lost his umbilical cord this morning.  They say that happens at about 2 weeks.  At his 2 week doctor's appointment, he now weighs 7 lbs 13 oz,and is 21 1/4 inches long.  That was even at 11 days old.  He's our growing boy and we are loving him so much, even at 3 AM in the morning. :-)

Joe's mom has flown back to NC and was such a great help while out here for a week.  Joe's dad is sadly leaving tomorrow to make his long road trip back to NC.  My mom flew in on Thursday, and she is here helping out for this next week.  So, Isaac is winning over his grandparents' hearts, and I'm sure they will all be planning trips to come back again soon!

Outfit from Uncle Josh (Shaw) which is poops or pees in every time I put it on! Lol!
