For anyone who knows my mom well, this project is one that would not be on the top of her list to complete.  But she did just an amazing job creating/scrapbooking a wedding album for Joe and I, I had to post just a couple of pages to share.  I'm still just amazed at how awesome this is!!

Mom, thank you!  This is something that we will be able to treasure forever!

Guest cards with advice.  I'm so happy I did this.  There is some great advice! :-)

At this week's doctor's appointment, we were able to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time.  Mommy needed to stop giggling so we could hear it longer. The doctor says everything looks good.

I did need to get a few new work clothes as mine are feeling  a bit snug.  So, I started hopping for my maternity wardrobe and found some cheap deals at Burlington Coat Factory.  A new favorite store and tons of mommy and baby stuff!!!  Fun for us!

We celebrated Joe's birthday last weekend.  We celebrated at home on Saturday, and then he went snowmobiling with a few friends in the mountains on Sunday. It sounded like they had a great time!

Joe's Mom and Dad sent a gift box that was initially a mystery.  Joe's couldn't have pulled them out in any other order.  First, he pulls out a box of "Soldier Fuel," (energy bars), next was a Bill Cosby DVD.  At this point we were looking at each other not knowing what to think.  Then, the next two gifts tipped it all off.  The books "Be Prepared - A Practical Handbook for New Dads" and "Just Me and My Dad."  His New Dad package was a perfect birthday gift for this year's birthday.

He also loves UTZ chips which can only be shipped out west from the east coast.  I think we were both excited for the 3 boxes of chips! :-)

The other cool gift Joe got for his birthday are these cleaning rags for his truck from my mom.  She gave me some for washing any surface and drying instantly without any chemicals at all.  And they are amazing!  I can now clean windows without Windex, and I don't end up with a single streak.  I highly reccomend them to any of the women out there!  Click here for more info about Norwex products.

Baby Update:  We have entered the 2nd trimester, and I'm still feeling really good.  Still more tired than normal, but no morning sicknessat all.  I feel very lucky!  We have our 2nd appointment this Wednesday, and we are looking forward to hearing the heartbeat for the first time.

It's official!  We have a little one joining our family on or around September 18, 2010. Mom and baby are doing great! No morning sickness, still have an appetite for anything, and tired all the time.  Dad and mom are very excited for our new addition and feel truly blessed by this miracle! Joe and I stayed back in Colorado this Christmas.  This was the first Christmas in 10 years that I did not travel back to MN during this time of year.  It was tough to be away from my mom and my family, but Joe did such a great job making our first Christmas together a special and memorable one for sure!  We woke up early and were excited to see that "Santa" came.  We had two trees and there were presents under them both. We were just like 2 little kids ripping open the presents, trying out our new gifts as we open them, and were ready for a nap by 10 in the morning!  The dogs enjoyed their Chrismas bones that we have been saving for them which be bought at the meat market back in MN.  We felt very blessed this year. We were definately safe, warm, and blessed with each other.  Happy Birthday, Jesus! :-)

We brought back my childhood Christmas decorations and my Mom and Dad's Christmas tree from many years ago.  I've always loved that tree, so mom has stored it for me until I got a house.  So, this is the year I got to bring it home and decorate it in my new home!  Joe has the "fun" tree with both of our childhood ornaments.  I have the "girly" tree that is decorated with Mom's hand-me-down's.  Lol!  Joe has also decorated the house and trees outside too which look great!  We definately fit in with the neighbors on the block!

Joe and I packed up the truck and the dogs and drove to MN and WI over Thanksgiving break.  Even though it was a quick trip, we were able to pack in lots of family time!  We were fortuante to have good weather and lots of good food!  Most of our trip was in Hayward, WI were my brothers Jamie and Josh live.  We were able to hangout and help out.  Fortunately, Sam was having a pretty good week and we were able to get some Christmas shopping done.  Sam was on her week between chemo treatments, so we got to have some fun together!  My mom continues to win over Joe's heart with her cooking.  We were able to have some really nice time after WI with Mom as we stayed there before making the rest of the trip back to Colorado.
