Isaac - 8 months old

Eight months old already.  Wow!  We are approximately 20.5 lbs. and have moved into 12 month clothes.  He still seems to be on the shorter side, so his 9 month pants still fit. 

Daddy has nicknamed him "Jack O' Lantern" as he has his bottom front 2 teeth and 1 top tooth 2 or 3 spots over from where his front teeth will be. 

He doesn't seem too be a picky eater.  Loves fruit the best, but will eat anything I give him.  I do, however, have to disguise peas.  But I don't blame him on that one.  I can't stand peas either! :-)

Prefers to have us hold his arms so he can walk around.  He may be getting a tad bit closer to crawling, but as of today, he is not crawling yet.

Gamma Shaw's Spring Visit

With a bit of seperation anxiety, I was interested to see how Isaac would react to Gamma Shaw's visit.  Overall, he did pretty well.  If Mommy was in the room and we were all playing he was having a blast.  If Mommy snuck out of the room, Gamma could hold him for a bit until he saw Mommy or heard her.  But if Daddy walked in the room, forget Mommy or Gamma...he wanted Daddy!!! :-)  We had one day of nice weather to run errands, go for a walk at the park, and play outside.  Other days we just played inside and my mom helped out with dinners, dishes, laundry, etc.  It was great to have the extra help but most of all to see Isaac playing and smiling with his Gamma Shaw!

Isaac's First Easter

We had a nice, relaxing Easter weekend.  No traveling or big cooking, so it was pretty low key.  Isaac is about 7 1/2 months old and tries to climb all over and prefers to walk while being held.  Still not caring to crawl yet, but has begun sleeping 3-5 hour spans at night.  That's making momma very happy!  He is enjoying sitting up in the grocery carts now (love the floppy cart cover!)  and plays shy and smiles at the ladies in the checkout lines.

7 months

Isaac - 7 months old

At 7 months old, Isaac is getting his 2 bottom teeth and is loving to chew everything.  He sits up, rolls over, and is beginning to climb around.  Still not crawling though.  He still gets so excited when Daddy comes home and wants to be held by Daddy whenever possible.  Loves to look at books and play with his toys.  Besides Daddy, Kodah and Balin (the dogs) have also become a jungle gym he wants to play on. We have moved up to 2-3 hours of sleeping at a time now!  Woo hoo! He is an absolute blessing in our lives!!!

The Christmas Puppy (Part II)

So, we are no longer afraid of the Christmas puppy.  It has now turned into a teething toy! :-)

A Christmas gift from my brother which Isaac loved that day.  But he has been so afraid of this thing for the last few months.  I had to capture him beginning to enjoy it again.  At the very end, I like how he notices his own hand.
