Levi loves to help out whether its putting away dishes or finding dog poo for us to pick up. He listens to direction well (if its what he wants to do or a routine). However, he will run away laughing if you ask him to come here and he doesn't want to. He is very stubborn like his momma. He is very demanding to get his own way. He still isn't saying any words, but communicating with signing, nods, head shakes, and screams.
He's still a good sleeper and is still transitioning to 1 nap a day.
Lots of teething this last month. He now has 3 molars and and new new teeth on bottom. Total of 11 teeth plus the 4th molar is breaking through now.
Loves to be outside like Isaac.
He seems to understand that Mommy's belly is getting bigger. He will come and hug my belly and give it kisses. I think by watching Isaac do this and sing to baby, he has picked up on the idea that something is different with Momma. He's in for a rude awakening when baby brother comes, as he doesn't like my to give too much attention to any other children. Yikes!
Levi - 15 months
Loves his big brother!
Goffball!
Enjoys playing by himself.
Seems to naturally have the coordination for balls, hitting, and other sports. I foresee a sports player.
Summer is here and most of our time is spent playing outside. We have still been continuing some school time, but with Levi moving his nap till the afternoon, and Uncle Josh and Aunt Mishi living with us, we are just enjoying the summer and family! He has added some more sight works to is previous list and continues practicing his Bible verses, letters, numbers, etc.
Isaac - 33 months
Climbing trees
Playing with water guns we got Dad for Father's day.
How do boys automatically know this stance???
Beginning to "push" the lawnmower.
Still loves his tractor.
Helping clean.
Still a loving, big-hearted boy...even while continuing to test the boundaries.
The coyotes out back have been crazy lately. The are howling at night. Saw 4 of them at dusk the other night. And here's a video I took one morning after I heard the dogs barking like crazy.
I LOVE my boys! I LOVE being a mom. My boys took me to the nursery to get my flowers for the summer. I love this tradition that started last year. I enjoy having potted plants and flowers and now having Isaac old enough to help was extra special (and messy). It may sound silly that I enjoyed washing windows and planting flowers for Mother's Day, but I loved it. Joe washed, vacuumed, and cleaned my car. I didn't cook supper and ordered pickup at my favorite BBQ place. Of course with Joe's help, I had such a wonderful day.
Isaac (31 months), Levi (13 months), Mommy (6 months pregnant)
Levi continues to learn how to communicate more even though there are still no words. He's making many sounds and can nod "yes," sign "please," shakes finger for "no," waves "hi" and "bye," blows kisses, gives hugs and kisses, and points at what he wants and where he wants to go.
Currently teething...2nd molar and another bottom tooth.
He is quite the helper! He LOVES to help do chores such as unload the dishes, feed dogs, put milk jugs in milk box outside and pick up toys. He knows (and likes) routine.
Time outs have begun as he enjoys not to listen when he knows I want him to come to me, and he hits, pouts and screams when he doesn't get his way.
He likes to watch Isaac and is beginning to copy him doing the good and the bad!
This has been a great month for Isaac! He has decided that he was ready for undies and has done a great job at being potty trained. I insist he uses a diaper for nap and bedtime. The need was confirmed when I forgot to put a diaper on during nap time, and he woke himself up cause he was wet!
He also has shown a new maturity in being a "big brother." He has significantly reduced his desire to rip everything Levi has in his hands and to push him each time he walks by his little brother. He seems to enjoy playing with Levi and has been trying to get Levi to follow him and do things with him. Its not that we still don't have our episodes, but overall he continuing to become a great big brother.
Isaac seems to understand that he's going to have another little brother and he says he's excited to give him hugs and kisses. When asked about family, he says has 2 brothers.
He has been interested in boys vs. girls. He goes through family members and friends and tells us who is a boy and who is a girl.
It has amazed me over the last month how much he has taken to memorizing his Bible verses and understanding what they mean. When he is struggling at doing something, he will sometimes recite part of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Or he will get so upset that he will elaborate..." I can't." in reference to the verse. He also has been distinguishing between what is a "good deed" and a "bad deed." During the week he practiced Proverbs 20:11, "Even a child is know by his deeds."
He has also shown in interest in memorizing sight words and loves to find them in the "real world." At this point he knows the words, can, and, see, is, for and the. He likes to try to do all of his numbers on his fingers and really likes finding the number 4 in everything, which was out number of the week a few weeks ago!
Seems like such a "kid" in this picture
Working with the Letter I
Showing Dad how to make ice cream pizzas (Thanks to Team Umizoomi)
Mmmm, delicious!
Working on tracing and writing letters, one of the harder concepts for him to conquer.
