Isaac (35 months), Joseph (2 weeks), Levi (17 months)

Momma started contracting Sunday night when going to bed.  Daddy woke up and saw Momma still awake.  He asked, "are we having a baby tonight?" In response, Momma said, "Don't worry about it, just get some rest.  I'm timing the contractions, but I'll let you know."  Daddy said, "Nah, you had that same look in your eye with Levi, we are having a baby tonight."  After a few hours, Daddy woke up again to see Mommy packing the hospital bag. Then he knew for sure we were were gonna have a baby.  So, we got everything ready to go the the hospital, called Josh and Michelle to come over to watch the boys, and we got the hospital a little before 5:00 am.  Less than an hour later, Joseph was born.  It was a fast and natural delivery.  I requested an epidural, but the midwife said there wasn't enough time.  The baby was ready to come, and I needed to begin pushing.  Like his brothers, he had the cord around his neck, but everything was ok, and he was a healthy baby! Daddy even cut the umbilical cord for the first time, so that was a special moment to remember.

Joseph has continued to be a wonderful baby during the first 2 weeks of life.  He sleeps often and has a loud screeching/squealing scream once in a while.  But other than that he just eats, sleeps and poos.

His big brothers love him to pieces!  Isaac tells him, "It's OK, Buddy, it's OK, Buddy!" And with one little peep from Joseph, Levi runs over to him insisting to give him a kiss on the head.  They have shown no signs of jealousy and have been amazing with the addition of their little brother!

Thank you Lord for another healthy, beautiful son!

I love this little guy already!

I get to come home today!

Let's go home!

Living behind the city's soccer fields, there are always different events going on.  Joe took the boys for a walk to check out what the tents were all about one weekend.  This particular even was a car show with food and vendor booths.  I get a call to bring money, as were were gonna get some lunch and ice cream.  I love the spur of the moments like that that make great memories for the family!

We've had some great garage sale finds this summer!  Uncle Josh found this tractor for Levi so he could have a tractor like Isaac.  At the same place, they had a play kitchen that I knew the boys would just love.  Both have been a hit! I even have a future bribery picture with Levi and Isaac serving each other tea.

Another bacon lover in the house!

Too tired to eat lunch.

Levi's first words are..."MA MA!"  Even began saying them for my birthday!

My 3 boys for my 35th birthday.  Baby #3 due in 3 weeks.

EVERY Tuesday, the boys get excited to go watch the garbage man.  Isaac has loved this from infancy.  Now, it's hard to even get Isaac to nap on trash day because one sound of the truck and he begins screaming and crying, "MOM!  Trash truck! " scared he's gonna miss it.  Since we live in a circle neighborhood, the trash truck comes down one side of the street, then 30 minutes or more later, it comes down the other side of the street (grrr!).  Then add the recycling truck that does the same thing an hour or 2 later (double grrr!).  There's little chance to get a good nap in on these days. But the excitement from the boys is just precious.

Levi has begun to enjoy books now.  His favorite seems to be "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," but he also likes misc. truck books and the "Big Bad Bully." Also loves music and dancing.

He loves bugs and enjoys watching them when we put them in our "bug house."  He sticks out his arm so he can have them crawl on his hands and arms.

He still has no words, but will mimick sounds like "Uck" or have screaming conversations with Isaac.  He is very good at telling us NO or YES with head shakes and nods. He fully understands everything we say and lots of pointing and noises to get what he wants.  Isaac and him seem to enjoy communicating with each other now.  Isaac likes to ask him yes/no questions, and Levi enjoys to respond.

He has the full pout/tantrum to try to get sympathy or get his way.  He will run off, lay on the ground, and pout if he doesn't get what he wants.  He seems to be a pretty demanding kiddo.

He still is a great sleeper, goes to bed on command, and waves at you when you leave.  He must kiss mommy's belly before going to bed.  He seems to know that mommy's belly and little baby brother go together.  However, I anticipate the same resentful response that I got from Isaac when we bring #3 home.

He has all 4 molars now.  Total of 12 teeth. He does not take to teething well.  Much constipation, fussiness, and moaning pain included in the process.  I have found that Organic prune juice has works wonders for both boys and digestion.  Need to remember that for future babies!

Has started his big smile/funny face grins.  Very cute!

Happy Boy!

Isaac continues to grow, and I continue to shop at garage sales and thrift stores to get the next size for him.  He's still short and in 2T pants, but I'm now moving him along to 3T shirts.

He loves to make up his own songs and stories about things now.  His imaginative mind is definitely developing.  Even his play has become much more imaginative. He enjoys playing with his trucks and the old 70's/80's Fisher Price Little People pretending to fill up gas and take people around.  He likes to play ice cream truck or be a pizza pan to make me special ice cream treats or pizzas.

He and Levi are playing more together, and they enjoy chasing each other around, and Levi loves to copy his big brother. He does seem to understand that a new baby brother is coming, but I'm interested to see if he handles this arrival better than he did Levi!
