Pop Pop came to visit for a week and a half, and the boys were in heaven!!!  They LOVE their Pop Pop, and Isaac especially enjoyed some one on one attention for hours at a time!  Levi looked forward to giving Pop Pop morning hugs, and Isaac enjoyed digging every toy off every shelf to play with without mom saying no to him all day long!  Joseph even got to enjoy some long naps in Pop Pop's arms.  Thanks for some break time for Momma too! :-)

And it begins....

Isaac joined the Mighty Mites soccer league for 3-4 year olds.  His first class he ran onto the field and started kicking around the ball.  When it was time to join the group and start class, he was clinging onto me and was shy. After introducing him to one of the coaches, he didn't leave her side much of the session.  He really enjoys one on one attention, and it was evident during soccer.  When they call for the kids to take a water break, they all run to go get their water bottles that they put in the hula hoop.  Isaac's first water break, all the kids were surrounding the hula hoop and he couldn't get to his water.  After some kids move, he wiggled his way in.  The second time around, he didn't wait.  As he told me after class, "Mom, I had to find a path, I couldn't get to my water." By the end, he was the last kid on the field helping the coaching put all the balls into the net. Everyone else had left! I'm interested to see what next week is like.  I'll be washing his shirt in HOT water hoping I can shrink it a bit!

Yep...my kid touching the soccer ball.

Hand in mouth...constantly!

Hand in mouth...again.

Water break...Isaac is behind tall kid in red...wondering how he can get his water.

We wanted to visit our old neighborhood this year and then come back to our neighborhood. So since we rushed to eat and get out the door, not many pictures were taken.  The first house we go to was Mike and Marcia's.  Levi turned and cried when Marcia opened the door in a witch's hat.  It was quite funny, and he needed dad to come with him to every door from that point forward.  It was great too see all the old neighbors!  Then we went back to our house. Dad and the boys went out some more.  Isaac picked up the idea of going house to house, and didn't care to stop and chat...he was ready to go to the next house.  After the evening was done, I noticed our carved pumpkins sitting on the dining room table...never even having a candle lit in them once.  It was just the last thing on my mind that night.

Me: Isaac, where did you learn that?
Isaac: I wearned dat fwom dorwa. (I learned that from Dora.)

*************************

Isaac: Mom, your eyes have color in them.
Me: huh?
Isaac: Your eyes have orange in them?
Me: (confused, I look in the mirror and see my bloodshot, sleep deprived eyes) Yes, Isaac, they do seem to be orange in them.

***************************

Isaac: Mom, let me show you something. (while placing something on my leg.)
Isaac: It's a spider!
Me: ISAAC!

****************************
Isaac: Mom,  I love you one hundred and one.
(Oh, if I could put a number to how much I love you Buddy!)

Weight - 11 lb (16.06% percentile)
Height - 21.5" (0.45% percentile)
Head Circumference - 15.08" (22% percentile)

Joseph has now begun to sleep up to 6 hours at night, which was a great improvement from 2-3 hours.  He is very smily and even has a few giggles.  He gets into moods where he likes to "talk" and he even seems to be trying to have a conversation with us.  If he keeps it up, he'll be talking before Levi does! He also loves it when his brothers talk to him!

He really is a good boy.  He does seem to have his fussy times, especially right when daddy comes home.  I don't think dad believes me that he really is a good boy during the day! :-)

According to his percentile for height, he is extremely short, but the doctor did not seem too concerned at this point.  As long as he follows his own curve while growing he should be fine.  I still can't help be tempted to pull out the tape measure every day to see if he grew! :-)  When comparing him to Isaac's height at 2 months, it's only a half a inch difference.
